At their home, King "puppy proofs" a room by removing everything in it. When he turns around he sees that Olive has dismantled the doorknob, allowing Rook and Ace and get out and play in the street.
At K-9 headquarters, Fox receives a confusing text from Bailey of random characters. Bailey tells King he needs to watch Rook more carefully, as he was chewing on her phone, but King states he only has two eyes. Bailey suggests that King give Ace a 'tongue bath' so that the pups won't think he's standoffish, encouraging him that it's instinctual. King gives it a try and laps Ace's head, but ends up scraping his tongue out in the bathroom.
The wolf cubs knock on the door dressed in gladiator gear, asking if the pups are old enough to play. King immediately slams the door on them. Later he plays tug-of-war with the pups by holding a rope in his teeth while casually texting, though Bailey mentions he's only got a year of it at most.
Finally King puts the pups down for bed, but when he exits the room he steps on a toy firetruck. King is then seen with a bar of soap in his mouth, with Bailey berating him for using language.
